Contemporary Poem By Henrik Ibsen communicated from the spirit world, June 4, 2023
I enjoy some cold, fresh white wine pearls at my regular café, – “Cafe Greco” by the Spanish Steps. A peaceful atmosphere, – though children running, people conversing. The sun’s warmth creates dew on my glass. I sip these pearls.
My palate can tell where in the landscape these grapes have grown, have ripened, and given me the sense of fertility in this city of churches above all.
A lonely soul, – where Brand had its origin, where the lack of love and fear of death had its outcome – in The Wild Duck, in Ghosts, – A Doll’s House.
Saint Peter’s Church with its expansive dome, – the Sistine Chapel – Judgment Day, salvation, ascension, – God’s hand that gives us the spark of life.
My palate enjoys the pearls’ amor, – the beautiful wine from Italian vineyards.
The creed adopted in Nicaea, – a sea of bishops, an emperor Constantine who does not know his closest advice. A falsified game, – love breaks.
Jesus, a poor human being, who was crucified by human desire, – power, prestige, – hung up in Saint Peter’s Church as a symbol of the church’s impotence, condemnation of love itself.
I have walked these Spanish Steps – to witness Rome’s authoritarian condemnation of humanity.
I feel saved here as I sip my human desire. I swallow a mouthful of the earth’s wealth.
My wealth is poor, but surpasses the church’s power. Life’s content is from my own mind, – no superstition, just myself – my own desire and feelings, – my love for my neighbor to learn about life’s misdeeds – life’s injustice, and life’s love.
Death, for you living, – in the spiritual existence, – where I can still enjoy my cold, fresh pearls – this afternoon at “Cafe Greco” by the Spanish Steps. A favored place in a troubled world. An illusion for you, a truth for me.
The warlords, the authoritarian, the violent, who elevate themselves, – will taste their impotence in the hereafter, a world you do not understand and have not seen with your earthly eyes, but which reveals itself the day you open the door to the kingdom of heaven.
Love your neighbor, – from love is God’s grace, your fertility.
The church’s grace is a life lie.
